District hosts webinar panel discussion:
The Road to College Admissions – How to Plan Ahead
WHAT: The Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District (MVLA) will host a webinar panel discussion on the college admissions process, featuring a panel of college and university admissions officers from across the country, along with college counselors from MVLA high schools.
“The Road to College Admissions: How to Plan Ahead” will be held live on Thursday, May 21, from 4 – 5:30 p.m. The webinar is intended to help families separate college admissions fact from fiction. Panelists will discuss grades, test scores, activities, and everything else colleges evaluate. We will also talk about how COVID-19 is impacting the process. Attendees will get straight answers about what college admissions staff really look for, and how they ultimately decide who’ll be accepted.
The webinar will be facilitated and moderated by Dr. Nellie Meyer, MVLA Superintendent.
