    WHAT IS A BAT?
A Block Action Team (BAT) is a group of neighbors who want to have a strong, resilient and fun neighborhood. A BAT is:
    • A support network for neighbors during emergencies and other times
    • A communications network, keeping neighbors informed and involved
    • A social network creating fun times and friendship for neighbors
It's easy to start a BAT in your neighborhood!  Simply sign-up to attend a two-hour BAT Leader training session where you will receive training and tools to help you develop an emergency response plan for your neighborhood, implement safety and crime prevention measures, and create community-building social events. Co-leaders are encouraged - bring a neighbor, friend, spouse or willing assistant.

Please visit our website to learn more about the BAT Program and other emergency preparedness activities.
