Silicon Valley SCORE Celebrates Women and Minority Business Owners
San Jose, CA - April 5, 2018 - SCORE Silicon Valley, among the largest chapters of SCORE, the nation's largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors to sponsor a Conference and Expo for Self-Employed Women and Minorities
On Monday, April 22nd, SCORE Silicon Valley invites women and minority small business owners to share in 0pportunities to network, promote their businesses and learn valuable skills.
Iliana Imberman Berkowitz, recipient of the People's Choice Award and owner of As Kneaded Bakery in San Leandro, CA will give a keynote address followed by light lunch and roundtable discussions led by other small business owners on topics including Funding, Marketing/Sales, Cash Management/Accounting, Employee Management, and Work/Life Fulfillment.
This exciting program is designed to help business overcome the challenges that every business owner faces, and the greater challenges faced by business owners who are outside the dominant culture. Every day, mentors at SCORE hear business owners lament, "If only someone in business had told me about that!" This event provides an opportunity for experienced business owners to talk about exactly those things that they wish someone had told them about, helping newer business owners scale the ropes and succeed.
