"Preparing Your Business for an Emergency" educational seminar to cover best practices followed by a Q&A Join the Los Altos Village Association (in partnership with the Los Altos History Museum) for another exciting "Bagels & Business" seminar. Presented by Ann Hepenstal, the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the City of Los Altos, this informative hour will take place Tuesday, November 12th from 9-10am at the Los Altos History Museum, 51 S. San Antonio Road. Emergencies, big and small, can happen when you least expect them. Come and learn how to be prepared to face them as Ann outlines items every shop should have, along with steps you can take to make your business safer. There will be bagels and coffee and a raffle prize! After the seminar, attendees are invited to explore the History Museum's latest exhibit, ?Our Community Prepares: Acts of Nature, Then and Now? featuring information on how natural disasters have impacted the Los Altos/Los Altos Hills area, stories of individuals who led emergency preparedness work, along with information on how businesses and families can get prepared and encourage action. The exhibit runs through January 19, 2020. |
