El Camino Hospital is a 395-bed not-for-profit community hospital located in Mountain View, California in the heart of Silicon Valley. The hospital serves residents in the El Camino Hospital District -- Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, and portions of Sunnyvale, Cupertino, and Palo Alto – as well as those in surrounding communities. The new Santa Clara hospital building opened in August 2007. The 327-bed hospital is the final phase of the new Santa Clara Medical Center 52-acre Homestead Campus, located at 700 Lawrence Expressway at the intersection of Homestead Road in Santa Clara. Medical Offices opened in June of 2005.
The integration of inpatient and outpatient services on one campus means that members can come to one location for all their health care needs. The Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC) is a non-profit joint-powers agency in partnership with the school districts and cities of Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View. CHAC works closely with the school districts and the community providing counseling and related services on all of the school campuses in our three districts. CHAC also provides counseling services at its agency site. CHAC’s work includes alcohol and drug prevention and intervention, including an after-school treatment program for adolescents; Individual, couples, group and family counseling, including play therapy and art therapy; crisis counseling; bilingual/bicultural counseling; parenting classes and several other services.
